What are dreams about: a personal view
When we go to sleep, almost every part of our body are going to take a rest. But our brains are still working. And sometimes we can feel what were our brains thinking about, so we dream.
Dreams are such a mysterious experience for many people, not only because we can sometimes see them clearly, but also because it might be something that happened or something that is going to happen in our lives. Some people think that dreams are things that happen in our real life, and if we figure the dream’s meaning out, then we can know what is going to happen; or they believe that something that was happening but we didn’t understand it. So we can prepare for things that will happen before they appear.
But others think that dreams are something that we were thinking about and they appear in our brain when sleeping, and we usually call it “the deepest mind”. I don’t really know what dreams are, but sometimes I do have the strangest dreams. Like, sometimes I dream I am in a police car and I can’t get out of the car - it is such a bad dream for me. I often had this strange dream before I entered grade four.
Even though I don’t know what dreams mean and they are so mysterious, I know one day they will become useful for human beings, when science finds out the mean of dreams.

Do you like reading? What do you usually read?
Today, we surveyed the students to ask them about their reading habits and favorite books, and this is what they said:
Sabrina says: “I like animal stories because they are cute and pretty. I like comic books, too; they are very funny.”
Johnny says “I like reading!” “I like story books because they’re interesting and funny. My favorite story is The Three Pigs.”

Writing - The Future of the Internet
This piece of writing won 2nd place in 2006’s writing competition held by the China Post. (attached). Rana is a creative writer and has a great ability to organize and write interesting content. She is currently working on a piece of writing for Teenage Visitors to Taipei.

Why do people like movies so much?
There are many movies and theaters in Taiwan. People enjoy the movie when they are in the theater. But why do many people in Taiwan like movie so much?
Movies are fun. They are exciting, interesting, and they can be scary, terrible, sad or romantic. Each movie has their special “feature. Action moves, like “Mission Impossible” and “X-men” usually have some exciting action. They might fight and do something impossible. Horror movies, like “Biohazard” will be very scary. They will make you can’t sleep in the night. Romantic movies, like “Titanic” are talking about love. Maybe they are not for children.
People sometimes watch movies when they feel bored, have nothing to do or when they feel stressful. Seeing a movie is another way to make you relax, just like TV. Movies can tell an interesting story to people, but a good movie can also change our minds. It can tell us what to do in our life, what we need to do when we meet friends, how to make us cleverer. In some ways, movies are a good teacher.
Movies are changing our life, like TV. Next time after you saw a movie, remember to learn what the movie told you. Don’t forget it!
