Yanger wrote: “I want to be a cook when I grow up. Because I like noodles. I like to work in a restaurant. I can cook beef noodles.”

Gina wrote: “I want to be a teacher when I grow up. Because I like to work in school. I can read books to my students.”

All the teachers have been busy creating projects, doing exams and making Christmas stuff… Here are some of our recent photographs. Enjoy!

“Dunk it through the net, Bill”, a boy shouted. “Yes, we won”, everyone cried. A team has just won a game. Basketball is very popular with teenagers and children in Taiwan. It’s like football in England, everybody likes a sport particularly.

The first reason is teenagers are influenced by Americans. Teens can watch a lot of sports channels in T.V. and they often see professional basketball players in games. So they want to copy them and be like them.

The second reason is it doesn’t take a lot of space to play basketball. A net and a ball would make a game, even if you haven’t got a team to play with, you can still practice by yourself. Unlike tennis or football, you can easily get a net yourself and not have to wait for ages.

I like playing basketball as well, it’s cheap and fast. I don’t need to buy a racket or a helmet. Only a ball will do, and it’s great to play with friends because we can learn teamwork.

It’s strange why teen students like to play computer games so much, isn’t
it? Well, there are lots of kinds of P.C. games, such as shooting games or
role playing games. Those games you can’t really do it in real. You
wouldn’t start using the gun shooting all over the place, would you? But
playing a P.C. game can let you really experience the real.
As a teenager I like to play P.C. games as well, apart from board games and
puzzle games. Sims is the best game I’ve ever played, it’s a role playing
game. We get to be a person in a city and we can have a family and a house,
and go to school and work and do all kinds of things. But when we go to
secondary or college we wouldn’t be able to play as much as we used to in
an elementary school. The homework or exam difficulties would increase a
lot, some people might get bad grades and they don’t want to face the truth
so the put their homework aside and start playing P.C. games. Or, you might
have finished your homework and start to find some entertainments. Suddenly,
you realize that there’s not much time left to go out with your friends or
family. So you would stay home and start playing computer games!
I think playing computer games is great but don’t play too much, and we
still have to remember to do our homework.

Many machines in our lives can’t work without electricity. For example, air conditioner and refrigerator are both important in summer and both of these things can’t operate without electricity.

Electricity really influences our lives a lot. It will be very difficult for us to live without electricity. Many basic things must work with electricity. For example, if there is no electricity, none of the lights can lit and we can’t do things when we can’t see stuff clearly. If there is no electricity, we can’t use internet. It will be a serious problem for us, because many governments and companies do their main job on internet. And there won’t be news if there is no power. So if there is no electricity there is no way that we can broadcast news. There are two reasons about why electricity is important for machines work. The machines that work with electricity are safer than those don’t. For example, there was no electricity, so trains operated by burning coal and driver might be burned. And nowadays trains are safer, we just drive them by pushing buttons and the electricity will make trains operate. Moreover we can make things the same by using electricity. If we want to make all pies of chocolate the same size, we can’t make it by hand. Electronic machines can help us do things much more quickly and perfectly.

Everybody knows that electricity is too important to our lives. So, let’s save the power together.
